A 24-year-old man from Buenos Aires died on Tuesday after drowning in a river in the city of Río Ceballos, Córdoba, becoming the ninth victim of the summer season in the province. The tragic event occurred near the Pozos Verdes road, in the La Quebrada neighborhood, while the young man was visiting a waterfall with his sister.
A person managed to pull him out of the river, but unfortunately, he was already showing no signs of life. This incident adds to a series of similar tragedies that have occurred this summer of 2025 in the province of Córdoba, where fatal accidents have also been recorded in localities such as La Calera, Nono, Villa Rumipal, Villa Carlos Paz, the Piedras Moras dam, Mina Clavero, and Río Tercero.
Upon entering the water, the young man could not stay afloat and began to call for help.
